Our People
Craig R. Dahl is executive vice president of TCF Financial Corporation with primary responsibility for TCF's business leasing and equipment financing operations. He is chairman and CEO of Winthrop Resources Corporation and president of TCF Equipment Finance. Prior to joining TCF in April of 1999, Mr. Dahl was with affiliate companies of Norwest Corporation for 22 years. His last nine years were as senior vice president of Norwest Equipment Finance, Inc., where he was chief administrative officer and general sales manager. Mr. Dahl holds a bachelor's degree in political economics from Princeton University.
Paul L. Gendler, executive vice president of sales and marketing, has been with Winthrop Resources Corporation since 1994. Prior to his employment with Winthrop Resources, Mr. Gendler worked at KPMG, clerked for Chief U.S. Bankruptcy Judge Robert J. Kressel and was an attorney with the Federal Reserve Bank of Minneapolis. Mr. Gendler holds a CPA and a law degree.
Richard J. Pieper, executive vice president of credit, operations and transaction management, joined Winthrop in 1991 after nine years with Despatch Industries and seven years as president of Applied Vision Systems Corporation. He holds a bachelor's degree in chemistry from Drake University and an MBA from Harvard University.
Dean J. Stinchfield, senior vice president and sales manager, has been with Winthrop Resources Corporation since 1992. Prior to joining Winthrop, Mr. Stinchfield spent a number of years with IBM Corporation and American Software Inc. Mr. Stinchfield has a bachelor's degree in business administration, marketing and information systems management.
Gary W. Anderson, senior vice president and chief financial officer, has been with Winthrop
since 1988. Prior to that time, he was a CPA with KPMG LLP and an accountant for
the construction firm S.J. Groves. He has a bachelor's degree in public
accounting and an MBA from St. Cloud State University.
Abigail R. Nesbitt, senior vice president of business and legal affairs, began at Winthrop in 2002 after
practicing law in Minneapolis and serving as legal counsel for a sales training
company. Abigail has a bachelor of arts degree in history from Carleton College
and a JD from the University of Minnesota Law School.
