Vital and Health Statistics Meeting in Washington
April 28-29, 2009 - Winthrop Participates in a meeting on “meaningful use” of healthcare information technology facilitated by The Washington-based National Committee on Vital and Health Statistics at the Marriot Wardman Park Hotel in Washington.
Winthrop participates in a hearing held by the National Committee on Vital and Health Statistics or NCVHS. The NCVHS met to discuss “meaningful use” of healthcare information technology on April 28-29, 2009 at the Marriot Wardman Park Hotel in Washington. The NCVHS hears testimony on how to define “meaningful use” for the ARRA. They were tasked with providing a summary of different stakeholder testimonies and a structure for ongoing conversations. The ONC will be making decisions based upon the findings by the NCVHS.
